The mounting options for this monitor arm are solid and offer a variety of options to secure to a desk. The arm also offers a wide range of movement without feeling flimsy. The only thing that I noticed was the adjustment for the gas shock that controls the height of the mount can take a bit of fidgeting to work properly.

The listing here on the site claims that this arm will hold "up to 40 lbs." The manufacturer's retail box, which is sitting right in front of me, clearly states "up to 30 lbs." The box and the listing do agree on "up to 26" inch monitors though.
I have installed this mount to hold an Acer AL2416W, which is a 24" widescreen LCD weighing approximately 24 lbs. The mount appears to be holding it okay (although it doesn't feel as secure as I'd hoped), but the tilt adjustment set screw doesn't want to keep the monitor upright. It slowly sags down to the lowest tilt angle no matter how much I tighten by hand, and I'm afraid to strip out the screw on the mechanism by tightening with power tools or other force.
Don't get me wrong... This is a nice mount. However, if you thought you had found the answer to desk-mounting a large, heavy LCD, you're probably going to want to look elsewhere or just give up. This is the closest to workable I have found, but it still doesn't seem to be up to the job.
