It has a long L-shaped Allen wrench to reach upward behind the TV to tighten two safety screws after the TV with its back brackets has been hung onto the track of the wall-mounted plate. The horizontal part of the wrench won't clear the wall, so it can be turned only a half-turn before being repositioned on the screw, which is extremely hard to find behind the TV where you can't see. I finally sawed off all but 3/4 inch of the horizontal part of the wrench so that it would clear the wall and I could turn it continuously without repositioning. That worked well.

This product will NOT fit most 46" TVs. Get the larger 650. The brackets that mount to the back of the tv are only about 8 inches long. I checked on the Peerless site for compatability and it said it would fit my 46" Sharp Aquos. Not true. The hole spacing on this tv is 15.75". I called Peerless tech support and they were most helpful. They asked me to send a photo of the back of my tv and they then admitted that I was indeed correct. They had me return the 640 mount to them and shipped me a 650 mount. All this at no charge. I told them I had purchased the mount online and not directly from them. They said, "No problem. It was our mistake and we will make it right.[...]the tv was on the wall in 10 minutes. I definitely recommend the 650 for larger sets. The 640 should work fine if your hole spacing is less than 8".

This unit is well constructed and pretty easy to install. But the long allen wrench supplied to tighten down the lock screws had an issue. The short end of the "L" shaped wrench was too long and will hit against the wall when you try to turn it. This made for a long and tiresum time trying to tighten the lock screws down one-half of a turn at a time. The handle end needs to be shorter or cut off for easier use. Other than that, the product was well constructed.

The mount is very sturdy and very easy to install. It took me only about 10-15 minutes. The only complaint I have is the tool they give you to tighten the 2 allen screws with. Its about 8 inches long so it can reach the screws, but it has a 90 degree handle at the end of the tool,which interfered with the wall when trying to tighten, so I bent the (tool) handle about 45 degrees and it worked perfect. Great product for the price. The TV I own is a 32 inch Toshiba. Looks great !!!

We used the mount to hang a 32" LCD and it's great. The TV is nice and snug to the wall and all the cables are fairly well hidden. Our only problem is that all of the the TV input jacks happen to be right in front of the wall bracket so that when we had to tighten the tv to the wall the cables became fairly crushed with no alternative aside from either a new bracket or TV. The signal through them is still fine so we'll let it be on the fact that we could've paid 3 times as much from a big store and it is only 1 1/2 inches off the wall. Overall for the value and simplicity, I'd buy another when necessary.

When I received the delivery confirmation I drove home from work to install it on lunch. From opening the box to having it on the wall with all cables ran it took just under 30 mins. It's the first time I've wall mounted a TV and it was a piece of cake.

It was simple to install. It came with all sorts of hardware for all sorts of different televisions. Plus they have a chart on their website that you match up the hardware you need with the model of TV you are mounting. Simple Stuff. The quality of the mount is very sturdy and the tv stands so flush to the wall that you can barely see the mount at all... Excellent product.

Product is sturdy and looks great with my 40" Samsung hanging on it. It really holds the LCD close to the wall. I have this in my living room and I am very pleased with the way the product came together and how easy it was to mount. Make sure to map out the wall you want to mount on, meaning how many studs you have available and such. I highly recommend installing this mount to atleast 2 studs.
