I ordered two without realizing this was a PAIR of stands already. D'oh.

Anyway, they are a snap to assemble and very sturdy. They are painted dark black, so you don't see much grain at all. It's so great to find REAL WOOD at an extremely reasonable price. I'm using them to elevate nearfield monitors off my desk. Perfect!

I use the stands to lower the L/R speakers so they are at the same floor height as my center channel speaker which is located inside of my audio cabinet. It also improves the sound by keeping the speakers off of the floor thereby reducing excessive bass which emanates from the speakers through the floor.

Be careful to screw these stands together without over tightening. They will strip past adequate tightening.

The bulk of speaker stand availability seem over-priced. I was looking to replace a taller, pricey pair myself, with some stands that I could tuck behind some furniture and just elevate the speakers off the ground. The dimensions, solid hardwood construction and black finish fit the bill. These are well-made, fast to arrive and easily assembled. There's even a channel on the narrow end of one of the uprights, and a whole in the base to hide speaker cable. A nice, simple product at a great value!

I have a pair of 33" tall Celestion tower speakers, and wanted to find a pair of short speaker stands to bring the tweeters up to ear level. These stands do the job! They are sturdy, attractive, and well built. They come with carpet spikes or rubber pads to use on floors, and rubber pads for the surface that the speaker sits on. The finish is pretty glossy, I would have preferred more of a matte finish, but that is not a major issue. They were relatively easy to assemble with a portable drill with phillips head bit for attaching the vertical posts to the horizontal surfaces, and a basic wrench for screwing in the carpet spikes.

I use these with Dynaudio BM5a studio monitors that weigh about 20lbs each. These solid stands put the tweeters at ear level on my desktop setup. I use heavy duty cables for each speaker so the concealment grooves for normal speaker wire are too small. This is fine for me since the stands are in an area where the cables drop down behind the desk. Overall, a great solid stand that fits my needs.

When the stands arrived they were exactly as described on the website. The only problem was that one of the pieces was broken. I called the next day and the person I talked with on the phone was polite and professional. I gave her my information and in a few days I received my replacement part. I could not have been more pleased. What a great company to do business with.

Very nice stands, solid wood (no particle board or MDF in these little guys). They arrived in perfect condition, assembled quickly with a power screwdriver (16 screws into pre-drilled hardwood holes), and look fantastic.

I have these stands supporting a pair of smaller Canton LE 102 bookshelf speakers on my desk, flanking my flatscreen PC monitor and bringing the tweeters up to ear level. That makes those great little speakers and the CD music, movies, satellite radio (or whatever I listen to at the desk) even better. Spikes are included, but were not needed for my desktop.

If you've looked for *good*, short speaker stands, you know that they are hard to come by, but these fit the bill nicely. Not cheap, but since they are hardwood construction and well-designed, I'm not complaining.

Both these stands and your website are highly recommended!
